Nthabiseng Kekana

ree

Nthabiseng Kekana steps into her role as gobela with a depth of presence and spiritual maturity far beyond her earth years. From the day she first arrived at the sigodlo accompanied by her mother, she never truly left. Her journey has been a remarkable unfolding, marked by emotional honesty, accelerated growth, and a generosity of spirit that has touched everyone who has walked alongside her.

Very early on it became clear that her spirit was eager to learn and ready to serve. She offered herself fully; her time, her energy, her devotion, and in doing so became an indispensable pillar in our work. Her commitment was not performative; it was instinctive, ancestral, and deeply rooted in purpose.

Her Homecoming marked a powerful moment of triumph for her lineage. The ancestors rose in celebration and recognition as she crossed thresholds that many take years to reach. Her forest immersion, the alignment with mpande, and her muthi work were unlike anything we have witnessed before, characterised by clarity, readiness, and ancestral orchestration that honoured her resilience and unwavering commitment.

Today Nthabiseng stands as our youngest gobela to date, not by accident but by divine design. Her path reminds us that calling is not measured in age but in readiness of spirit. We honour her journey, her courage, and the ancestral fire that continues to guide her forward.

Nomsa Khanyile

ree

Nomsa Khanyile has walked with our community in deep reverence and commitment for the past two years. She first joined us through the Homecoming Programme, Sithunywa, a profound journey of spiritual return, personal alignment, and purpose discovery. Through this process, she courageously explored the question of why her spirit chose to incarnate in this dimension at this time, and with that clarity came her gradual acceptance of the ancestral call.

Nomsa is a seasoned marketing and strategy executive with an Executive MBA and a Master of Science degree, bringing together rigorous scholarship, lived wisdom, and over twenty years of leading transformation in business and in people.

Her initiation unfolded with humility and patience. She began by submitting to the Emakhosi of her lineage, later extending her service to the land and water spirits who recognised her readiness. Throughout this journey she has opened pathways for the gifts within her bloodline to be acknowledged, strengthened, and restored. Her spiritual work has been nothing short of remarkable, illuminating dormant ancestral abilities and reweaving connections long waiting to be remembered.

Recently Nomsa completed the rigorous four-day forest and muthi immersion in Madadeni, Nkomazi, a journey demanding spiritual endurance, sensitivity, and readiness. There, she located and aligned with the sacred root (imphandze), our spiritual ally, a rite of passage reserved for those called to carry high ancestral responsibility. This sacred encounter marks her transition into the highest level of gobela: mentor, custodian, and trusted guide.

Nomsa now stands not only as a vessel for her own ancestors, but also as a trustee of the lineage of Gazini Mthethwa Nyambose, to whom this medicine was first revealed. We honour her, we celebrate her, and we welcome her into this elevated role with profound gratitude.
